At the recent FDA advisory committee's hearings on October 13, the practice of prescribing diflucan over the counter (Diflucan) was a new concern that has sparked a lot of discussion and debate.

The discussion centered on whether diflucan was safe and effective for long-term use. The panel voted unanimously to recommend that there is a safety concern for long-term use of diflucan.

However, some evidence indicated that diflucan was safe for long-term use even when it was taken at doses up to three times the recommended daily dose, or more, than the recommended daily dose.

The FDA recommended the use of diflucan as an alternative therapy for fungal infections, particularly as it may have the potential to cause fungal skin reactions. The committee voted unanimously to recommend that diflucan be used with caution.

The committee also recommended that Diflucan be used as a long-term therapy for patients who are at increased risk of developing fungal infections.

The FDA recommended that the FDA recommend that the use of diflucan be limited to use in patients with known hypersensitivity to the fungus and that Diflucan be used with caution in patients who are at increased risk of developing fungal infections.

The FDA did not recommend the use of Diflucan with the following recommendations:

  • If patients are at a high risk for fungal infections, Diflucan should be used with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to the fungus, or if the patient is at a high risk for developing fungal infections.
  • If patients are at a high risk for developing fungal infections, Diflucan should be used with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to the fungus, or if the patient is at a high risk for developing fungal infections.
  • If Diflucan is recommended as a long-term therapy for patients with known hypersensitivity to the fungus, Diflucan should be used with caution in patients who are at a high risk of developing fungal infections.

The committee did not recommend Diflucan to patients who have been diagnosed with a yeast infection, have a yeast infection, or have a yeast infection or yeast infection with a vaginal yeast infection.

The committee recommended that Diflucan should be used as a long-term therapy for patients who have known, or a known, or suspected, yeast infection, or yeast infection with a vaginal yeast infection. Diflucan should be used as a long-term therapy for patients with known or a known, or suspected, yeast infection, or vaginal yeast infection with a vaginal yeast infection.
